Set your Timezone

We assume everyone is in Sydney/Melbourne, so if you're not, you'll need to set the timezone on your account to match your physical location.

Apologies to all of you, but we haven't figured out how to detect that from your browser yet. Might add that to the new account process eventually, in the meantime, you'll notice that all the times are slightly wrong, curse the east-coast a little bit, then find the setting..

If you can't find it, that is what this page is for, so we can point to it when you ask us for help, or should you google it. ;-)

My tracker is disabled or missing how can I enable it?

You need to add a subscription.

Essentially, we ship a lot of units with a SIM card, and there is a certain amount of network data and server features included in the package to get you going and test it. Once that period has expired, we have to turn it off to prevent wasting resources. We generally don't shut it off immediately, we'll send you a warning email the week before telling you how to keep it active, an SMS and then a final email telling you when it was shut off and how to reactivate it.

Note: Trackers that are disabled disappear from the main view and app, but are still visible in the "Add Subscription" page on our website.

How long will the internal battery last while not driving?

We've tested a GTKPRO2 that was stationary/not-moving and found a fully charged internal battery lasted approximately 3 hours.

Tests were conducted in good mobile coverage areas in a non-moving vehicle until the battery was 100% depleted and no longer talking to the server/network.

For best results, we encourage you to keep the internal battery connected and charged, and the vehicle battery connected and fully charged.

While we are unsure how someone will cut the power cable to the tracker without triggering the motion/movement sensors, if you are really worried about this, we suggest you create a battery level Sensor trigger and be alerted to this unique situation. Unknown faults/shorts in the electrical system can and do happen, so knowing about them has to be good. This would be quite useful if you find yourself jump-starting the car more than once as there could be a problem with the charging or battery itself!

Note: Other tracking hardware will not last this long. Mobile coverage will also determine the life of the battery as the harder the transceiver has to work the more power it will consume.

How long will the internal battery last while driving?

We've tested a GTKPRO2 with good mobile coverage while driving on a freeway, it lasted about 44 minutes (unplugged from all wires while driving).

We anticipate inner-city driving or in areas with less dense mobile coverage the power consumption to transmit and the greater information density transmitted should consume more power and therefore decrease the life of the internal battery. For best tracking, we highly encourage you to keep the internal battery connected, and the car battery fully charged.

For other devices, the battery life will be considerably less.
