SIM Cards

If your Gator Tracking Device came supplied with a SIM CARD, DO NOT insert this SIM CARD into any other device other than your Gator Tracking Device. The SIM CARD is registered to the specific Gator Tracking Device it has come supplied with. If the SIM CARD is inserted into another device (including other Gator Tracking Devices), it will be permanently disabled. All Gator GPS Tracking Systems require a sim card so they can communicate with the tracking server. The sim card requires its own unique identification number. We recommend using a M2M sim card or mobile sim card. The sim card must have credit available at all times to allow the tracking server to communicate with it.

Standard sim cards will not work with trackers that come with a Telstra M2M sim.

This has happened a few times, the service is generally not disconnected immediately, but will be cut off eventually.

If you find your SIM not working but you have subscribed, it might have been disconnected before you subscribed!.. In which case, it pays to make a support ticket, so our staff can reactivate the SIM.

We are charged for reactivating these SIM's, so will pass this cost onto you.

First you must set up an account on our tracking portal. During set up you can choose to subscribe, however if you do not want to subscribe to the service right away you can choose to subscribe at anytime through the tracking portal.

Click on "Add Subscription" button on the left, then select the appropriate "Manage Subscription" link. Now you can change the auto-renew option to "Do not Auto Renew". This will set the subscription to cancel at the end of currently paid for period and no longer charge you.

Changing that back to Auto Renew will resume the subscription and resume charging you annually, as per the agreement. However: If you wait until AFTER a cancelled subscription has ended you will no longer be able to resume. To rectify this, you must contact us to remove the subscription entirely, then setup a new one.

Important note: If you sold your vehicle with the tracker in it, you should immediately cancel your subscription and delete the object from the account before handing over the keys to new owner (you likely have a legal requirement to do this).

If you've been a subscriber for a while (Thanks!), then it's likely you'll need to update your stored credit card at some point.

Our payments processor (Stripe) will send you a reminder email about a month before hand.

  1. Click on "Add Subscription" button on the left, then select ANY "Manage Subscription" link.
  2. Then press the "Change Payment Method" button, and enter the new card details.
  3. From then on, Stripe will use that card for ALL of your subscriptions, so you only need to do it once.
